The tournament server holds two editions of the Jugendsommeropen, a two-day youth open in age classes played in Berlin: 20 and 21 September 2025, and 17 and 18 October 2026 (groups from u7 to u17, five rounds of 30/75 minutes plus 15). The youth site of the Berliner Schachverband posts the 2026 results and says the top three of each age class qualify for the second preliminary round of the Berlin youth championship.
